Haven of Hope, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Davina Polanco, MS, CTRS. We currently operate two RCL12 residential treatment facilities located in Santa Cruz County for youth in need of specialized support services. The two programs, Abeona House and Halcyon House, are set in home-like environments where structure, support and learning can begin.
Our belief is that each child is uniquely individual; therefore, their treatment should reflect their individual needs. Our program is strength-based for children and adolescents suffering from issues such as sexual abuse, severe depression, attention deficit disorder, and thoughts of suicide.
Services provided include: milieu therapy, individual psychotherapy, educational assessment, medication assessment/education, behavior management, daily life/social skills training, psychiatric assessment and follow-up, medical assessment and maintenance, community reintegration, parent education and support, and family therapy.
Haven of Hope is a place for young adults to learn and practice new skills through group and individual therapy. Our nurturing and supportive treatment team fosters independence and teaches effective coping skills, replacing negative behaviors with positive behaviors. Children work in partnership, with a multidisciplinary staff team, to develop an individualized treatment plan promoting the skills necessary to be successful within the community.
