Laurie Stapleton

As Director of Secondary Education (Grades 6-12) in Santa Clara Unified School District, Dr. Laurie Stapleton is responsible for developing teacher and administrator capacity to implement new standards, including the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, as well as college/career planning. She manages several grants that focus on increasing access and opportunity for low-income and under-represented youth. She earned her doctorate in Education from Stanford University and has over 25 years in education, as a teacher, university lecturer, and district administrator.
